Emilie Snethlage Expedition

Located in the Amazon Rainforest of western Brazil, the Jurua River is a long and winding white-water tributary of the Amazon River. Long considered an ineffective barrier to speciation, we conducted the first modern ornithological expedition to the region and found evidence to suggest otherwise.
